and go read the IV chapter of “British television drama in the 1980s” by George W. Brandt

it's quite inspiring if you're chinese & interested in translating - not much analysis on the show though. Chang Nam-Fung translated YPM into chinese and published several essays on that. his was the best translation of YPM i've ever seen.
